Women On Farms Gathering 2018Rosebud Memorial Hall & Surrounds
Rosebud, Mornington Peninsula
Friday 16 – Sunday 18 March 2018
The first Women on Farms Gathering was held in Warragul in 1990. Since then the gathering has been hosted annually across many of Victoria’s regional shires. We are extremely excited to be hosting the gathering for the first time in our much-loved Mornington Peninsula. The 2018 theme is ‘our Pearls of the Peninsula’ which is a reflection of our regional women and the coastal landscape of our region.
We aim to provide opportunities for women to come together, to network, share experiences, develop skills and undergo personal development and growth, and to acknowledge and promote the contribution of women on the farm and in our rural communities. The Ag-to-Ag exchange of knowledge and skills is key to Victorian Women’s agribusiness success, and this gathering has assisted many farming families over the last 30 years. Our unique goal for the 2018 Gathering is to attract the next generation of women who are returning to their farming communities, revitalising Agriculture and enjoying the rewarding challenges of rural life.
Click here for final program. We look forward to welcoming everyone at the Gathering this Friday 16th March!
We are excited to exclusively reveal to you the location for our Gala Dinner for Saturday 17th March. The Gala dinner is the pinnacle of a fun filled weekend for the gathering delegates and much emphasis is placed on it as a reflection of the region for the Gathering. As the first coastal Gathering in many years we could not think of a more fitting location than… the Sorrento – Queenscliff Searoad Ferry!
Gathering attendees will feast on a three course menu featuring local produce from the Mornington Peninsula whilst cruising the waters of Port Phillip Bay. Entertainment for the night will be provided by the much acclaimed country music artist Fanny Lumsden with plenty of tunes to get you moving.
We hope this whets your appetite for a delicious weekend!
